11:04pm: Welcome to the WI 2006 ART 461 blog!
***PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS ENTRY! FOR YOUR FIRST RESPONSE, PLEASE REPLY TO THE ENTRY DIRECTLY ABOVE!***
Greetings! If you are currently enrolled in ART 461 and are reading this message, you are in the right place.
This blog has been created for students enrolled in ART 461. The purpose of this blog is to enable students to post their reflective responses to the course readings. Most of the assigned readings come from your assigned textbook,
Children and their Art: Methods for the Elementary School (7th ed.) by Al Hurwitz and Michael Day.
You are expected to add your reflective response to the assigned readings to the blog. These responses are to be thoughtful and considered, as well as a minimum of eight to ten full sentences long. You must check your responses for correct spelling and grammar, as points will be deducted for spelling errors and sloppy grammar. Each daily assignment is worth ten (10) points.
If you respond to a classmate's response, you receive a maximum of 5 extra credit points. In order to receive the full 5 points, your responses must be as thoughtful and considered (and at least 5 sentences long) as your original reflective response. (In other words, if you post a response that says, "I agree with everything you have said - good job!" you will not receive any additional credit). You are permitted a maximum of five (5) responses to your classmates.
If you any questions about how to use this blog, please email me at colman@ohio.edu or speciarchy@columbus.rr.com.
All good,
Dr. C
